Intimate Gatherings
Catering by Max’s Intimate Cuisine can create a party that allows you to be a guest even in your own home. Eight to twenty guests will experience a dining experience like none other with our capable servers at your every beck and call.

Once you have chosen the date and completed your guest list, Chef Ed and his assistant will meet with you to plan a personal menu for your occasion. Using only the freshest selections and most innovative designs, we will create every part of the meal catered to your tastes and your desires. Best of all, you will enjoy the pleasure of ending the evening with your home as neat and clean as if we were never there!

50th Birthday Celebration
We will create a signature martini for a fun start to your evening. The glasses will be rimmed with a blend of confections to complement the spirits of your choice. Catering by Max’s will recommend wines to compliment your menu selections. This menu may be subject to slight variation to give us the freedom to choose the market’s freshest options.

  

Selection of Hors D’ouvres
Once all of your guests have arrived we will begin to pass the Hors D’oeuvres.

Max’s Famous Petite Italian Beef complete with red sauce
Goat Cheese and Mushrooms in a Potato Tartlet
English Cucumber Cups Stuffed with Sesame Teriyaki Beef
Italian Flag Crostinis with Tomato Concassé
Basil Pesto and Fresh Mozzarella
Nova Lox Bellini with Herbed Cream Cheese

  

First Course
Your guests will then be seated at the dining table and we will start with the first course.

Spring Green Salad
Spring greens tossed with our whole grain mustard vinaigrette, fresh herb fritters, peeled grape tomatoes, house made pickled onions, and shaved sheep’s milk cheese.
Next we will serve a granita of shaved rhubarb ice to ready your guests’ palettes for the main course.

  

Main Course
The main course will consist of a trio of entrees.

French Chicken
Slow roasted French cut breast of young chicken with fava bean puree, grilled asparagus salad, and crispy shaved artichoke hearts.

Almond Halibut
Almond encrusted halibut nestled in a lightly minted spring pea puree with foraged mushrooms, sweated with shallots and young peas, and garnished with pea tendril salad.

Grilled Lamb
Grilled loin of lamb encrusted with fresh herbs and served on top of Jerusalem artichoke puree and rapini bagna cauda.

  

Dessert & Coffee
As your guests relax with fresh brewed coffee and hot herbal teas we will prepare our desserts to finish your evening with the WOW that it deserves!

Luscious Peach Shortcake
Pound cake discs are dipped in vanilla royale, toasted to a golden brown, and covered with caramelized peaches and fresh whipped cream.

Deluxe French Toast
Thick slices of French toast are topped with honey whipped mascarpone and marinated Georgia peaches and drizzled with balsamic caramel.

Chocolate Cake Worth Living For
Flourless chocolate torte dusted with powdered sugar and finished with fresh raspberry puree.

Crème Brûlée
Individual crème brûlées made with real vanilla beans.

Catering by Max’s will recommend wines to compliment your menu selections.

Girl’s Night In
As your friends arrive they will be offered a cocktail or glass of wine. They will be seated at the table and presented with the first course. First Course

Trio of BLTs
A selection of sandwiches that includes inspirations from Italy, America, and Spain.

Frise Salad
Frise salad with a confit of duck, raw cashews, and peeled grapes drizzled with warm vinaigrette.

  

Main Course
Next your guests will be presented with the main course, a trio of entrees.

Boneless Chicken Breast
Boneless chicken breast stuffed with feta cheese, Greek olives, and fresh parsley nestled over warm French bean salad.
Prime New York Sirloin
Prime New York sirloin steak seared and served with organic chickpea stew.

Almond Crusted Halibut
Along crusted halibut accompanied by kabocha squash flan.

  

Dessert
The ladies will relax with fresh brewed coffee and after dinner liquors served in petite chocolate cups while our chef prepares the perfect desserts.

Fig Napoleon

Catering by Max’s, the Restaurant
If you’re craving a unique dining experience, or just a new venue for your next dinner party, this one’s for you.  On a Saturday or Sunday evening we transform Max’s Italian Beef on Western Avenue into a fine dining fantasy.  First, we fold up and take away the existing tables, chairs, and stools.  Then, we set up long banquet tables and elegant place settings with colorful table linens, fine china, linen napkins, sparkling silverware, and crystal glasses.
